How we met: At a pet store, we know better now and support Basenji Rescue. If you are considering any dog please look at a Rescue group or a Breeder, do not support puppy mills by going to a pet store! You can not be guaranteed with what you are getting from a pet store. Responsible breeders will be there for you through the dogs life.

What makes my dog special: She is mine!

My dog's likes/dislikes: Zahra loves squirrels and the dog park but she especially loves her brother, Chase a Puggle.

What's so great about a Basenji: A Basenji is not like a normal dog, they are on their own agenda, they will not be obedient like a lab, you will not be able to trust a Basenji off leash. Basenji's are cat like but do not normally like cats. They also need to be crated while you are out because they tend to be destructive when left alone.

Basenji owners are as unique as the Basenji, they get enjoyment out of the crazy thing that their dogs do.
