My dog's name: Zaiden

How we met: He was a Christmas present in 2003, picked out by me after missing my last two shepherds, Desert (13) & Arctic (14) .He was for both my hubby and me after a long search, lots of thought & consideration. We bought him from a breeder that is very picky; His dad was flown over here from Germany. He has the stocky low to the ground well muscled German build. He is also very smart and will make friends with you if you let him do it on his terms and show no fear. He likes to push the limits to those that do show fear. He has been great at teaching kids to not fear big dogs and for patients in a local nursing home/hospital. He picked up the work Desert used to do at the hospital. He is very well trained at both on and off leash though he tends to listen to me (consistent) all the time and most of the time to husband (a bit inconsistent).

What makes my dog special: Though most people that do not know him find him scary for some reason, he is really a big baby that will do anything to make people happy and hope for an ear rub from them. ThoughHe hedoes hashave a dominate personality but he listens very well since we spend a lot of time working with him. He is very smart and learns fast.

My dog's likes/dislikes: He loves us, walks, playing fetch and treats. He loves to run at high speed. He hates tires, specially on lawnmowers and will try to tear them up. We are not sure where that came from so we put him in the house when mowing the lawn.
