Ant bite
Princess, got an ant bite on her paw, this afternoon! Is there anything to make her feel better? The vet is closed. She is a German short haired pointer mix and weighs 60 pounds and doesn't seem to be allergic, but keeps licking it. I know it was an ant, as I pulled it off. mm

Catahoula Leopard Dog
"I own one of these--or he and I are best friends--. He is my Companion Dog. The word companion doesn't do him justice. We watch television together, take walks. He is very vocal. And actually has an inside voice. The breed , according to everything I have read is the oldest breed in north america. Why is it nobody has even heard of them. They would be consdered herding dogs. But, they are everything dogs. Has anyone out there ever heard of them or does anyone have one of these wonderful and beautiful animals. Saturnsmom1@yahoo.com" I LOVE my catahoula leopard dog. I have been raising my puppy from February when i adopted her from a local no-kill shelter. She was nine weeks old and her cellmate was this little black lab pup. My boyfriend and i checked out both of them, i was leaning towards the black lab but ended up with the speckled one...thank goodness. My puppy has been a very quick learner and house-breaking was not hard its the chewing part that is rough. SHe has demolished shoes, clothes, towels, carpet, rugs, and the yard. I love my little baby, though she does get disciplined when she does any of those destructive activities. We exercise her at least an hour daily, wrestle with her, she even plays rough with our 85lbs english pointer who loves her. Well she makes a person feel young. Currently she is almost 8 months and weighs just over 50lbs. She is an absolute joy! But i would love to talk about catahoulas, there just doesn't seem to be that much information on them besides people who are starting to breed them for color rather than for genes...which worries me.

I just adopted a 3month young chiweenie rescue!
I adopted a chiweenie from the dog pound. She's the most loveable dog to have around.
My only problem is when I'm on the computer she gets destructive and chews. If I'm doing anything else such as watching tv , working at my desk or anything else she's a perfect dog. The computer is her one and only main enemy. Why ? Do you have any clues.
