Urgently Need Help with my dog
I recently went through a brutal separation that uprooted my life, started online stores & was doing Craft Shows. All was looking promising & along came Tropical Storm Debby. I was one of the most critical flood cases. I lost home, possessions, inventory, income & more. Then along came Hurricane Isaac that also impacted me. I now received a call that my mom in her 90’s took a drastic decline & w/the help of a friend was able to make the trip north. I drove 26 hours to be with mom.
My daughter & her husband were working out the logistics to have me move in w/them. To our surprise we were informed by their landlord that my dog could not be in the building. I will not abandon my precious dog as she is all that I have left in life & what has kept me going. She has been with me through all my tears & has been a joy in my life…she is part of my fibers.
Kenya is a small approx. 55 lb 10 yr old West Shepherd, is not a barker, is low key & easy to tend. She is well behaved, obedience trained, house broken & has never had an accident in the house. She is very loving, grew up w/cats, loves people, children & other pets. She is neutered, current on all shots & vaccinations, gets monthly flea treatment etc Photos of Kenya and information http://www.rover.com/pets/dogs/kenya-26705/ I need someone to take her in for a long term period of time or share the time w/someone else, She is easy to care for & everyone who meets her falls in love w/her. My daughter & I would like to be able to visit her & walk her when possible & convenient for whoever graciously could take her in.
I would pay for food, vet care if needed, & help in whatever capacity. Without this help I will be homeless. It is breaking my heart to be separated from her and I do not intend to give her up. But I desperately need help. I can be contacted at frogandhummingbirdco@yahoo.com

Sweet Female Walker Coonhound Needs a Home
We found this dog wandering in the streets (Norris, TN north of Knoxville). She has no collar, no chip, and appears to have wandered for some time. Took her to the vet and got all her shots, treated for fleas and ticks, and round worms. She is very loveable. Needs a home where there is room to roam or at least she doesn't have to stay in all day. We both work and sometimes very late. The girl (we call her Bertha) is about six years old according to the vet. Anyone knowing someone who would be interested, please let us know. She really is a good girl.

"Pepper" The Diva
She is beautiful in every way. The S.P.C.A says that she is 10 years old however when taken to a local Petco to shop for her, we were told that she could be no more than 5 years old. Either way my fiance' and I are going to love her until the end. Pepper as her previous owners called her is a Diva. She has the greatest temperament, is well groomed and house broken. The only thing we have had to do is take her shopping for food and clothes although a vet visit is to come within a few days. Can't see why someone would give her up. This is our second day having her and despite being told that she was incontinent, we take her out every hour up until bed time and she has not had one accident. Pepper even alerts us by doing this cute little circular dance before darting to the front door. When we walk her, she does not pull away from us and she really struts her stuff and until the vet confirms that she is 5 years or 10 years or if she is standard or miniature, which she appears to be miniature the only thing we are concentrating on right now is loving her and welcoming her into her new forever home.
Because of the age that we were told she was, our local S.P.C.A adopted her to us for $60. She is worth so much more. I am so glad we chose to visit the S.P.C.A yesterday!!!!

Rescued 4 month old make Red Heeler needs a good home
4 month old male Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog). 14 lbs now. We’ve taken him to the vet and had him checked, de-wormed and he has now had all his shots. He’s healthy – happy – and housetrained. He is shy at first, most likely from some abuse, but warms up to people quickly when they are kind to him. Very affectionate. We found him close to dead just a couple of days ago and he has made a great recovery. Now he needs a person of his very own.

Adele-Avaliable for Adoption
Miss Adele was brought to TARA with her sister Clementine. Even though both girls were very thin when they arrived they still had loving dispositions. Adele and her sister instantly bonded with the staff.
She loves everyone! She is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She just looks at you with those gorgeous eyes and begs you to stay just a bit longer. Those floppy coonhound ears make her even more adorable. This beautiful girl adores playing in the water. If you have some land with a pond, or like going to the lake, this girl would be a great friend for you. Please take the time to meet Adele. You might find that she will be that special girl you've been waiting for! Adele is located in Missouri but for the perfect family we may be able to work out transportation. http://www.tarasdream.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=2305813 Please visit her page for more information

My Chiweenie...Amazing Grace, Aka, Maizy...
Maizy is a 7 lb. chiweenie that I rescued from a puppy mill that was shut down in another state, leaving 265 dogs in small crates in a dark, cold warehouse. Over 85 of the dogs had to be euthanized. I saw Maizy & new I had to make the 11 hr round trip to get her. I just wanted her to live her little life out in a safe place. I got more than I bargained for!! When I picked her up after a month of her recovering from her surgeries, (She had a broken jaw & was spayed), she was so tiny and shook all over. The foster mom said she spent the month behind the sofa. As I held her close to me, her whole body shook. I wrapped her in my coat & held her & attempted to comfort her. After 3 hours of driving we stopped to get a bite to eat. Maizy got her first taste of Chicken Mc Nuggets. I knew I was breaking through her fear already. Though we had a long way to go..getting used to people, a house, the outdoors, the car, noises, day light, a bowl, a bed, toys that she had never had, our other dogs, etc., she came further than we ever expected she would. After only one year, Maizy won first place for her tricks at a Humane Society fundraiser we attended in VT. Besides her mini agility course, she sits, lays down, gives me 5, turns around on "4 paws", turns around on "2 paws", rolls over, crawls, heels, stays, comes, & cutest of all, she will show you her "Praying Paws"! She's not only an adorable long-haired chiweenie, she is super smart! Every morning & every evening she presses her face to mine & just hugs me for the longest time, then gives me a little kiss. My goal was to change Maizy's life, & I feel I have reached that goal. However, I think Maizy has truly changed my life more. She has given me the most unconditional love, companionship, joy, & laughter anyone could give. We really cherish our little Maizy. I can't hide that she is my favorite of all. She loves us & we love her!
