hi. i was wondering if anybody out there knew how i could achieve the merle coloration that pit bulls come in. havent found really any information on how to breed this color. if you have any information please email me and let me know. hazeleyez1@verizon.net 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Are you attempting to breed this color in to your APBT "pit bulls"? If so you need to do more homework on the breed. Merle is a major disqualification in the breed. It just means your lines are not pure and their has been a cattle dog mixed in. If you plan on breeding you should hook up with a well known breeder. Go to some AKC,UKC ADBA events and learn the temperment, and confirmation of this breed. As an local APBT club founder I recomend not breeding till you have learned all you can. A lot goes in to breeding quality APBT's. Lord knows the breed has suffered enough from the BYB's. 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
