You did try to make this interesting, but because you didn't reply to the post and help create a thread-then the rest of us could compare-comment and have fun-so please create a thread to the original post & let me know

How delightful-I've almost always had hound mixes. I'm glad to see somebody put up a large dog as being cute. They certainly have there own styles. Do you have pics in the photo section? Start an album and I'll look at it. Stonewall at the left is a mix-he's just too small to be full bluetick-he weighs only 80 lbs. It's amazing but I walk these dogs and people stop theit cars and talk to me about the dogs-what breed-where did I get them-etc. Do you find this valuable? |

I bet he's part Harrier (because he has the speed of a Greyhound & the bay of a Beagle)!

I like hounds because they are so goofy and yet have great sense. I had one that wouldn't leave the bathroom after a bath, unless I sprinkled some body talc on him. These hounds won't eat from a second dog dish, until the first one is cleaned up. They will eat from both dog dishes when there are left overs. They seem to know that my son has a spinal injury, so they sit and rest their heads in his lap and are gentle around him-the rest of the time, they are like wrestling bears or something. The Walker chops and the bluetick mix bawls-

"I'd think mines CUTER!"I don't think that was a very polite thing to say. Next time, as Meyati has already pointed out, please keep unkind comments to yourself and post helpful threads for the members to read. Thank you! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

What's LOL got to do with being polite? I didn't get the doggles for laughs-keeps sand, salt and spray out of their eeyes when vehicles pass us, but they look goofy. It makes the walks slower and more sociable-which the hounds love. Yesterday my grand-daughter-in-law finally saw the charming part of the hounds- Missy was all feminine and sat straight up on her hunches, with her paws out to balance herself and listened to us talk. Then Stonewall reared up like a horse and walked around without jumping on anyone. smd382 has a hound mix too, and there was a reason that Walt Disney named the hound Goofy. I still can't figure out what you said that you should be sorry for! My dogs are goofy looking. The other day a woman in a new Escalade almost got rear-ended, because she actually stopped to take another look. For my dogs, this is a safety/health issue as it almost never rains, so grit is thrown into their faces a lot. But I know that they look goofy. Lots of women and girls think that they're adorable in their doggles-so it goes both ways. I do hope that you will be my friend-

I dont think she was being unkind... it sounded like a playful joking type of comment to me! Everyone thinks theirs is the cutest! Unfortunately, you can't tell tone of voice through typing!

Well, we really can't tell if anyone is misreading something-but don't stop joking around-we need it around here. I thought your original statement was provocative, but not mean-in order to get a response-which you did- I just can't believe that the original poster didn't respond to your claim that a hound mix was cuter. Then I wondered if my friend thought that you were being mean to me about my hounds being goofy. I went through it a while back, when a close relative accused me of being the Himmler of the dog world on this site. I haven't been secretive about things-like everybody knows that I'm using Stonewall's pic for my avatar., where I live. Anyway, enough information was given in the post that some members could identify me. I lost several wikifido friends-one that lived in the same area. We all get mad or need to vent at times-but we shouldn't give specific names and breeds of dogs-then it was dissapointing that anybody would use Wiki to hurt somebody. The moderators checked out the mean spirited post and the member left wikifido-I do hope the experience helps this person to learn to less specific and that blogs should be for comminication-not flaming. I decided to clear some of this up. We're trying to have a more interactive wiki with humor and kindness.
