I also lost my german shepard just 4 weeks ago. like your's, he was my best friend and most loyal even to the end. 12 years old and still he tried to please me, even on that last painful day he knew it was time and it was as if he was trying to give me his approval. You will never find a more loyal and loving breed, and one that will tolerate children so well. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

German Shepherds are wonderful family dogs and generally do really well with kids. However, it's important that you find a dog from a reputable place - either a reputable breeder or a reputable rescue - who can help you find a dog with the right kind of temperament and drive to fit into your family. Do you find this valuable?
