Clara:
Hopefully you get this email message concerning the doggies in Georgia that are going to be put down 5-20-09. There are at least 3 death row dog rescues in Georgia. NeedfulSouls is in Georgia---www.needfulsouls.org; The Atlanta Dog Squad, their phone number is 404-642-5295; Heart of Georgia Humane Society is in Macon, Georgia, contact is christian@heartgahs.org and there is one more I know of, Second Chance Animal Rescue in Roswell, Georgia. I don't have time because of working full time so if you or someone else could try these 4, maybe one of them can help these animals that are due to be euthanized or maybe one of them is already helping them. I wish I was retired so I could put my all into helping animals but I have to work for another 4 1/2 years before I can retire. Hopefully they can be saved.

Thanks for the names. I don't know if their pics have already been forwarded to these rescues.
There is an update on the blog page. Two seniors were adopted and the senior chocolate lab was returned to the owner. Since some dogs were rescued I guess a few got a repreive but it won't be for long . More dogs keep coming in.
I will send the link to the rescues you mentioned.
The years will go by before you know it !

Since this is so close to Fort Stewart maybe you could get it out to the Army Spouses? Military.com might allow something like this in their forum for that area - I"m just not sure. Maybe some Army wife is lonely and would love to rescue? My daughter and her husband are stationed there but he is being discharged this week. They just picked up another stray cat "Pumpkin"...and are moving in with us for a short time while he looks for a job with a defense contractor. She loved her cats, has two of them now. Just a thought. Do you find this valuable?
