Public dog water bowls
Jul 21 2006, 3:18 PM EDT Often, after going to dog parks, Indy develops a dog cold - goopy eyes, sniffles, and a cough. I've been letting him drink from the public water bowls, but someone suggested that this could be the source of his ailments. Should I avoid water bowls that serve hordes of canines? Are they really just cesspools of dog disease? 3 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Public dog water bowls
Oct 18 2006, 1:23 PM EDT Im not an expert I have only had my Boxer for a few days but when we got him he had those same symptoms with a horrible cough. the vet told me it was kennel cough, which normally runs its corse or they can give you medicine for it. The vet said it is catching so im guessing that it would be safer to bring your own water and bowl and do not share toys with other dogs. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Public dog water bowls
Dec 15 2006, 11:08 PM EST DANGER!!! Public water bowls are just wrong! It is safer for your dog to drink out of your toilet bowl. Canine cough, mouth warts and a bunch of other lovely germs, viruses and bacteria are waiting to infect the poor dog with low immune or other systems. Bring your own water it is just smart and the right thing to do. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dec 31 2006, 3:18 AM EST Sometimes where you are you can refill the water bowl, if you can you should rinse it out and refill it, it also depends on where you are. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
