Fantastic Page!

Welcome Lucy! What a great addition to our collection of the coolest dogs! Thanks so much for sharing about Lucy. You are a wealth of knowledge about Boxers and we really appreciate you being able to share! Your pictures are great! I LOVE the one of her with the branch in her mouth...really shows her strength! Funny, your pix show how strong she is, yet how gentle she is also!! Love 'em!

So, do you plan on showing her? That, I'm sure takes plenty of discipline. I'm curious about how that all works...you pretty much have to decide that when they are young pups, correct?

Also, the thought just occured to me. We've had a number of people asking for help lately on how to teach their dogs not to jump up on people. With a dog Lucy' s size, you must have mastered this early on. Any tips or suggestions that you could give? If so, there's a page under Dog Training called Jumping Up. It'd be great if you could share any great training tips that you might have here!! Thanks!!

Aww! Thank you so much! I'll definitely have a look at the Jumping Up page and see what I can do. She still does jump up sometimes, but as she gets older she becomes more calm and easier to teach to stay down.
As for showing, everything seems to come really naturally to her! We can't show her with AKC because her ears aren't cropped (we didn't have the heart to have them chopped off), and we want to get her spayed, but we can show with kennel clubs around our area. She's already so alert and attentive, and she'll keep her feet where you put them so it was easy to teach stacking. When she's engaged, her knubby sticks straight up, so her only real problem so far is attention span! haha :p
