I'm sorry you lost Blu J, He's a beautiful dog.. I can imagine someone took him in and is taking care of him. I understand, its the "not knowing" thats the hardest part. Maybe someday there will be a miracle for you... God Bless.1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Conexxions3 is right. Sometimes dogs show up months later. I had an 8 week pup follow his mom on the trail. Mom and all of the pups came back except for him. About 3 months later we found him going up the steep dirt road to our house that was 15 miles from any other houses or cabins. He was in excellent condition. Apparently, someone in one of the native American pueblos at the bottom of the mountain took care of him-but that instinct to gho home was deep in him. He never took off again.

Thank you conexxions 3 and meyati! Your words were very kind and comforting. I guess I still feel bad because we had to leave him there in North Beach, FL lost and we had return to Texas. We did look for him and put up ads in the Miami Herald for over a year. We also had him on several spanish TV shows featured. It was amazing all we did and never even got a decent clue. I pray that you are both right and he's in a loving home because we will NEVER forget him and will miss him forever! God Bless you for caring enough to reply. It meant a lot to me!

When we loose something we love dearly we have to somehow bring a balance it in our minds and hearts.. thats not always easy to do. One thing you can do is ever you get the chance to rescue a dog or cat.. in yourheart do it for Blu-J .. because someone most likely rescued him... and the cycle goes on. Take care.. dont be a stranger! Jim 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Yes, please get back to us. Any time that you want to talk we're here for you. We've all lost a beloved family pet one way or the other. I still miss the little hound that I grew up with. Part of my heart is always with Puddin' Head. If mothers reached over the fence to get their child-he'd bite them. If they came in the gate-knocked on the door and let my Mom know that the little kid was going home- he wagged his tail or kept snoring. Of course, the older kids went home when their Mom's called-but the little ones were his lambs. If you have this problem in the future-you can always search through the Internet on Petfinder.com-it makes it easy to contact every shelter and view every dog they have. Several years ago, there was a bad car wreck and a registered Old English Sheepdog was lost by a family in Colorado. They were in the hospital, so the search began about 6 months later. They came down and convinced the TV stations to run a piece about the dog and the reward. They were contacted by a Mexican family that REFUSED the reward. The owners traveled down to Mexico-even though the rescue family offered to drive half way or meet them in El Paso. The dog was in perfect shape-had vet care-everything- The family from Colorado asked the other family to meet them half way a few months later. They had a registered sheepdog puppy for the smallest Mexican girl that cried. and cried. Maybe somebody kept your dog because they loved it too much to give it back. and it sleeps with a little boy or girl and protects them.
