I am so sorry to hear of your loss. If you are still looking my treeing walker had 12 almost 4 weeks ago. I'm located in Boise Idaho (not sure where you are) but we have 9 boys and 3 girls. Had no intention of breeding mom but as she was preggers when I got her we let it ride! And what a ride it has been! If your interested please let me know. stutheitt@clearwire.net

I have a rescue female, 3 years old. She is the sweetest dog! She looks like a Blue Tick. She's smaller, probably 50lbs. I am looking for a good home for her. I just found this site, so by now you may have found a coon. We rescued a lemon walker coonhound in June 2007. She was in very bad shape....covered in ticks, scratched up, dehydrated. We found her at a truck stop in Va. Even though she was in terrible shape her sweet personality shined through. We tried to find her owner since she had tags. We ended up driving her back to Richmond, Va. and took her to an emergency vet. They kept her overnight. She was cleaned up and given fluids. By the next day the vet had found the owner who didn't care at all what had happened to her. He said he had about 5 or 6 coonhounds that he hunted. He couldn't remember which one was missing. He took them to run and just left her in the woods. He said we could keep her. As it turned out she was heart worm positive. Since then she has been treated and cured and she has been fixed. She is about 20 months old. My parents have her and love her so much, but they live in a retirement place and she doesn't have a place to run. She is the sweetest dog I have ever seen. She gets along with my dogs and cats. She loves everyone. She has gotten out several times and we have gotten her back each time because she has her tags. She would really be better off with a family who has a fenced yard, but would still allow her to be an indoor dog. I'm sorry about your loss. GOOGLE COWETA,GA. THEIR RESCUE HAS A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG COONHOUND. HE IS SET TO BE GASSED, I BELIEVE. TRANSPORT IS AVAILABLE.

So sorry for your loss...I too, lost one of my chipoos, babygirllove to a freak accident a few months ago...Still trying to deal with the loss as are her companions, midnite and curlysue (sister)..Didn't know midnite would take it as hard as me....Hang in there, they can never be replaced, but you can surely find one of a kind to love as you loved your last....Good luck to you.

We have a Stray Blue Tick Hound! He is extremely friendly and lovable. Male approximately 1 year old and has all his parts!!! We have too many dogs already but my wife will not let him go to the pound. She has rescued several dogs and has found good homes for them. If you are interested please contact us. I'm assuming you already found yourself a pup by now, but if not, I'm currently fostering a beautiful male treeing walker coonhound. He's so sweet, needs a bit of training, but I'm having him neutered next week and he'll be all up to date with his shots too! I guess he's from Iowa, and somehow made it to Albany, NY where I currently reside.

I have no idea where you are from but, there is a coonhound mix in a kill shelter in Johnstown, pa. (western Pennsylvania) I think he is a treeing walker coonhound. RJ is 3 and is neutered.
