Heading should be "Bulldog" - American Bulldog is a different breed
Mar 7 2006, 1:06 PM EST The American Kennel Club identifies the breed "Bulldog", and the wiki entry above is correct for that standard category. The breed "American Bulldog" is not recognized by the AKC, and has significant differences than the standard "Bulldog", most obvious in larger size and muscle mass, and facial appearance. I would recommend reviewing the AKC site (www.akc.org) and searching under breeds. Photos and the corresponding breed names are presented. Although not recognized by the AKC, the American Bulldog is a noble and strong breed, but should not be confused with the traditional "Bulldog". Please take this as a constructive comment - I enjoy the site design and intent very much! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jul 26 2007, 7:08 PM EDT Although my American Bulldog isn't a registered dog, I still breed her and have no trouble selling her pups for 500 a piece. I did not now that you couldn't register this type of dog. Please elloborate more on this topic. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
