How longs a dog lives is related to many factors. If the dog is in pain, I encourage you to talk w your vet about the new medications that are available to help. They do work and a good quality of life is really important Linda B

Check into finding an area for swimming you dog. this is wonderful exercise to build up muscle tone w/o adding stress on her joints. Some benefit from one of the joint supplements on the market. She can live a good long life. I had one w/hd that lived to 14.5 years of age. Good luck!
