Greetings

This is my miniature schnauzer Darby. He was rescued one year ago and we just could not place him for adoption. Our relationship was so wonderful and he trusted me so much. I needed him just as badly as he needed me. Therefore, Darby is part of our small family.Terri Do you find this valuable?

Some dogs are like that. I'm so happy that you're still delighted with Darby. Within 24 hours my vet contacted the rescue group that she was adopting her coonhound instead of fostering it. We went to get one hound-but the 2 of them were so attached to each other and we couldn't say, "Take just one." Sort of like a potato chip. Like you, we love our mutts more than we did before. They are so unique-I'll tell them to go out or go to bed-whatever- and the one that's listening goes and gets the other hound to go outside or whatever. I always have one within 10 ft. of me. When I'm sick-one stays next to me 24/7. they take turns taking care of me. One of the members wrote an essay-where she feels that rescue dogs know-- and they are grateful. They are so loving and protective. They keep us laughing too.
