Schnauzers Rule

Alaska is a great place for Schnauzers. They are active and don't mind short spurts in extremely cold temperatures. If barking is an issue, try the Citronella collars. Our dog even see those bad boys come out of the cupboard and they clam up instantly.

A wise friend of mine even told me you could teach them to go potty in a kitty litter box!

I have a schnauzer "petunia" who is now 12. Out of the three schnauzers that I have had, I find that nothing will make then stop barking.... except through training. Even then they are still vocal at times... the one thing that young schnauzer owners can look forward to is that they quiet down with age (but they definately don't loose their personalities).
