Does your Doodle need a good home?
Mar 6 2007, 9:53 AM EST I am looking for a Labradoodle that is low cost or free that needs a great home. I have a son that has allergies and need a hypoallergic dog. I would love to have one of these breeds. I live in New Jersey and can be reached via email roxie26@verizon.net. Thank you. Roxanne 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Mar 6 2007, 10:08 AM EST roxie26, Suggestion: Ever thought of looking for a Rescue Poodle? You may find a Standard Poodle. Consult with your local shelter. They most probably maintain a list of Poodle Rescue Organizations. Also go to the shelter to find a black dog mix. These are generally the last to be adopted and first to be put to sleep only eclipsed by the poor Bully types. The shelters and rescues are full of Lab mixes. P.D. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. RE: Does your Doodle need a good home?
Mar 6 2007, 10:23 AM EST Follow up. >> I would love to have one of these breeds.<< Labradoodles are not a breed. They are a mix. Please read the pro and cons of getting a mixed dog from an intentional breeding of two breeds. Dog Breeds > Mixed Breeds > Designer Dog Controversy http://www.wikifido.com/page/Designer+Dog+Controversy Make sure you do your research carefully. Mixed breed dogs carry recessive genes from both breeds. Ask about the faulting and defects that can occur in each breed. P.D. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Does your Doodle need a good home?
Oct 9 2007, 11:42 AM EDT I am aware of some labradoodle puppies that need a home. They weren't specifically bred, but were a "mistake" A standard poodle got loose and got the farm dog, a black lab pregnant. They are 12 weeks old now & are in Maryland. They are living on a horse farm and need a home. I took a female & I think there are 4 or 5 left. You can email me at lbradley@baysidenetwork.org Do you find this valuable? |
