Make sure you have no sharp corners in your home and places where puppies would be curious to visit. Make sure that there is fresh water and food available always. Also make sure a bad for the puppy is always available and newspaper spread on the floor (in case your pup needs to poop). Also, make sure that if you have a swimming pool it has to be covered or closed-off so your puppy doesn't drown. If there are any buckets, bathtubs, big water bowls and water places make sure they are not of any reach to your pup. Also, if you have an upstairs make sure that you close the area off at the bottom, so your pup doesn't fall off the stairs. If you have any other animals, make sure that they are friendly so they don't bite the puppy out of jealousy. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"If you need anymore puppy help, please message me. Because, I also have a puppy at the moment that I am controlling"Treat a puppy as you would any baby, never leave them out alone. Make sure that they have supervision when you are home, and a crate for their size, kept in a familiar place to sleep in and when you are gone. Get shots when age appropriate, and start training right away! Do you find this valuable? |

ONE OF THE MEMBERS REPORTED THAT SWIFERJET FLOOR CLEANER IS ONE MOLECULE FROM RADIATOR FLUID & KILLS PETS. THEY LICK THEIR FEET-SWIFFERJET HAS A FINE PRINT WARNING & OTHER MEMBERS CHIMED IN ON HOW THEY LOST THEIR PETS FROM IT. IT CAUSES LIVER DAMAGE. I'VE BEEN USING PINE OIL IN WATER FOR YEARS WITHOUT RINSING & ONE DOG LIVED FOR 18 YEARS. Pine oil is very good for cleaning up & really removing scents from house training accidents. If it cries for it's mother-get a clock or something that will tick all night & put it in it's bed. My Dad said that it thinks the ticking is the mother's heart & the pup will sleep well. We did it on a registered cocker that was given to us-because several owners returned the pup to the kennel & couldn't stand the non-stop crying. Use only "No!" at first-don't overwhelm it with too many commands and it needs to learn it's name & "Come" very quickly. . Have lots of chewing things, because he's a baby that's cutting teeth. Keep paper-newspapers-magazine-cardboard-books out of reach or it can chew & swallow & need surgery. The only thing worse than a teething dog is horse. Keep cleaning chemicals up-Keep the tiolet lid down. I prefer that they mostly stay out of the bath room-diseases go both ways. Don't start out with table treats, as it's unhealthy and begins bad behavoir. Many people won't train a toy dog to sit or anything-immediately get physical with it, rubbing it, etc. They'll cry when restrained for sit or anything-if nervous from it's crying get it to a dog trainer- First time dog owners should take their dog to obedience school-it helps in so many different ways. You don't need to spend a fortune & you can get a reasonable priced training class at a pet store chain. Take it out often to go potty. Remember that it will be a pup for about 2 years. By the way-what breed are you getting?

It wouldn't be fair if you gave all your time and attention to the pup and forget the dogs you've had all along! Do you find this valuable? |
