Is it healthy to shower a Yorky more than once a week? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Ideally, you should bathe your Yorkie once a week, not more. However, you can bathe a Yorkie more than that if needed. Show Yorkies may be bathed every day of a dog show. However, the handlers use top quality grooming products and oil and wrap the Yorkies in between shows to keep the coat in condition and lock in moisture. Yorkies have hair, not fur but they dont sweat like people so the thing you have to most concerned about is drying out their skin. You should also feed a high quality diet - I tell people to add salmon oil to their Yorkie's diets. It really helps their skin and hair! 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
