I have a toy poodle who does the same thing. I tried to pad train her and that didn't work either. Does any one have any tips on real house breaking Do you find this valuable?

From my experience, it just takes patience--and a lot of it!! When you know it's time for pup to go, I think you've just got to be prepared to hang around outside for a while. At least this is what I did, and after she did her business, I'd reward her with a small dog treat. It seemed to work for me, and even though my dog doesn't like the snow either, she'll still go out in it and rush right back afterwards. I have a forested area where the trees cover though, and it's not as snowy there. She runs through the snow to get there, but at least can go on clear ground. Do you have a clear area like that?

I'm no expert, for sure, but I would think that puppy pads are confusing because they give the message that it's ok to do it in the house. If it's at all possible, I'd just keep bringing her outside...

Anybody else out there think anything differently?
