My yorkie won't eat either. The vet recommended SCIENCE DIET SMALL BITES and SCIENCE DIET CANNED FOOD. I tried feeding her them seperate and mixed together but she wont eat. I am afraid she is making herself sick. Please help!

I rescued a 1 1/2 year old female yorkie who had only been fed table scraps. i hand fed her until she would eat by herself. she still regresses at time and i accommodate her. I would also check into some other brands. I actually use three different brands for my three yorkies. one is on prescription science diet but the other are on other natural brands. there are also lots of recipes on the web that are very healthy. good luck.

I just got a 1 yr old yorkie who wouldn't eat and made me sooo worried i couldn't sleep. I would get canned food and fork feed her and she would take food fine but when I se the plate down, nothing. My husband suggested that maybe she had trouble bending to eat so we put a plate with her food ON TOP of her bowl (just about mouth height without bending) and she has eaten perfectly ever since! I hope this helps. Do you find this valuable?
