RE: Babygirllove
Nov 18 2007, 10:38 AM EST Thank you...I miss her terribly....I'm currently trying to find out if I can worm a 5 1/2 week pregnant chipoo...My male I noticed worms in his poo this morning and I usually worm them every 4 months or so....Can I worm her before she welps to keep the pups from being infested? Thanks if you can help...And thank you for the condolences...She was a beauty and the light of my life....Just can't figure out how to get past it......First one I've ever lost and it is the worst thing I believe I've been through emotionally..... RE: Babygirllove
Nov 18 2007, 1:34 PM EST If you are seeing worms in poo, they have tapeworms. Tapeworms can be caused by eating crickets, ingesting fleas, or eating other insects that are carrying the larva. Talk to your vet about deworming the female now, before she whelps. He can do a fecal test to see exactly what worms she's carrying and deworm those specifically. It's always safer to ask first. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Focus on the good times and memories of her, instead of the pain you're having from her loss. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Babygirllove
Nov 18 2007, 7:35 PM EST Thank you Yatahae....I will do just that...I was just trying to act as quickly as possible and of course on Sunday, where I live, nothing for miles... As for babygirllove, thank you for your response...Originally, I was only going to get one because I wanted a smaller dog, inside dog and chihuahuas/poodles had been highly recommended...I already breed purebred Labradors I just wanted something smaller as a companion...Well, needless to say, when I got to the home of a friend who is also a breeder but of small dogs, Babygirl came running....Then curlysue (the one who is pregnant now) ran to my husband...They were so different and you could tell which one they favored on both sides...very amusing at first...I do remember the good times with her, they were all good. She was the smartest, most affectionate, best watchdog and very protective over me....We were inseparable and when I lost her, I lost a piece of me, sad to say but true....I have a natural connection with dogs, but for some reason, with her it was different. It was like I lost a brother or a sister, mom or dad, or worse, a child....She was my child in her own right I suppose...I will take your advice to heart and thank you for replying....
